Each .xrp name is represented by an NFT on the XRPL, issued by our single, trusted issuer address. Owning that NFT means you own the name. You can map the name to an XRPL address so others can send funds to you by using that name, rather than a lengthy address.

XRPNames is an independent, US-based company. We use the open XRPL protocol and its NFT capabilities to provide a name registry service. We are not directly affiliated with Ripple, the XRP Ledger Foundation, or any official XRPL entity.

Visit https://www.xrpnames.com, sign up or log in, and search for your desired name. Once you purchase it, you own the NFT for that name.

Yes, if the wallet integrates our Resolve API. If your wallet doesn’t support it yet, you can still share your name with others who use supported platforms or check the mapped address on www.xrpnames.com.

If you chose custodial mode, your keys are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and stored securely in Firebase. After proper verification, our support team can help restore access. Consider non-custodial if you prefer full control.

Absolutely. Log in at www.xrpnames.com and update the mapped address anytime. The NFT representing your name remains yours, so you decide where it points.

Yes. Each name is an NFT with a known issuer: rEgDY1ncKfxVpXr53e42y8ckjKcBeyAAzp. Verify that the NFT’s issuer matches ours. Any .xrp name from a different issuer is not authentic.

Yes. You can sell or transfer your NFT on any XRPL NFT marketplace. Once transferred, the new owner fully controls the name.

Ownership moves with the NFT. The new owner can update the mapped address anytime. The original address remains until changed by the new owner.
